(1) Connector: A removable component (other than a socket connector) that is usually attached to a cable or hardware and is used for electrical connections in a transmission line system.
(2) Radio frequency connector: A connector used in the radio frequency range.
(3) Video: Radio waves with a frequency range of 3HZ∽30MHZ.
(4) Radio frequency: radio waves with a frequency range of 3000HZ∽3000GHZ.
(5) High frequency: radio waves with a frequency range of 3MHZ∽30MHZ.
(6) Coaxial: The inner tube has a dielectric support, and this structure can be used for measurement to obtain the minimum internal reflection coefficient during periodic operation.
(7) Triaxial: A transmission line consisting of three layers of concentric conductors with a typical hub and mutual protection.
(8) Grade: The mechanical and electrical accuracy of the connector, especially the degree of predetermined reflection coefficient.
(9) Universal connector (Class 2): A connector manufactured with maximum permissible dimensional deviation (elasticity) while ensuring basic rated performance and interoperability. Note: Reflection coefficient requirements may be indicated.
(10) High-performance connectors (level 1): connectors with reflection coefficient limits specified according to frequency variation. Generally, the measured dimensional elastic coefficient is not more stringent than that of the corresponding level 2 connectors, but it must be ensured that the connector meets the reflection coefficient requirements. If necessary, the manufacturer is responsible for selecting a more stringent elastic coefficient.
(11) Standard Test Connector (Grade 0): A special type of precision-made connector used to measure the reflection coefficient of Grade 1 and 2 connectors. The error introduced into the measurement result is not significant.
Note: The standard test connector is generally a part between various connectors, and a test device between the connector and the precision connector structure.
(12) Sealing
①Sealed connector: A connector that can meet the pre-defined tightness requirements of gas, humidity or fluid.
② Barrier seal: A seal that prevents gas, moisture or liquid from entering the connector pivot channel.
③ Panel fixing: Prevent gas, moisture or liquid from entering the fixing or sealing part between the connector housing and the panel through the mounting hole.
④ Sealing of mating surfaces: plays a fixing role to prevent gas, moisture or liquid from entering the interface of a pair of mating connectors.
⑤ Hermetic seal: A seal that meets the prerequisites of test Qk in IEC60068-2-17 “Basic Environmental Testing Procedures Part 2: Tests – Test Q: Sealing”.
